Not as Nook-y

Our heroes get some help to teleport as a group to the Boreal Omen River within the Savalirwood. It doesn't go well, and a battered and bruised group are then attacked by hard-hitting fey. They regroup after just barely winning the battle.

Session 27

Prophet wakes us with an inspiring speech (for temporary hit points) and the group has breakfast. Afterwards, we travel back to the Lucid Bastion for their meeting with Tisiphone and Niminyon Thelyss. Kra'naelen thanks Nim for bringing him back to life, and Maltheo brusquely asks about teleporting to the Savalirwood or the nearby town of Nogvurot. We also talk about Raokan (devil), Truush (demon), and Isabelle (Dwarven blood mage). They fill us in on some of the legends & happenings about the Savalirwood. Tisiphone remains completely demure and quiet in the presence of Nim. Traveling there may be very erratic due to the ley lines being disrupted and causing havoc in the area.

Kra'naelen describes Shadycreek Run to the gang as a small, wild west-style hamlet of a town that has criminals and whorehouses. It has gained enough notoriety, though, that richer families, trying to establish themselves perhaps, can also be found there. With multiple options of where to actually teleport to, but none being easy, there is a lot of debate about which to choose. Finally, we narrow it down to picking between Shadycreek Run (on the southern border of the Savalirwood and definitely a place that Isabelle and her group have passed through) or the Boreal Omen River (cutting through the wood east to west, passing through the ruins of Molaesmyr). Thinking we'll be able to possibly beat them to the punch, we choose the the river. Nim teleports but has a terrible time trying to navigate the ways to our destination. Twice we're nearly torn apart, and it's enough to knock Cass unconscious, and the rest of us nearly so.

Briya and Prophet heal everyone; Kra'naelen uses the nothic eye compass to try and get a bearing on the ley lines; it points steadily north-west. That, combined with audible sounds of the Boreal River flowing not far north of us, is a sure sign of having succeeded at getting very close to our desired destination after all. Nim goes on their way but not before taking a small rock from the ruins, just like Briya had a moment ago, as a way to navigate back to this location more easily, just in case. However, they will not be able to come back for us for a while, but we can reach them via Sending if needed.

Just as we begin to make our way out of the ruins toward the river to the north, a goblin approaches and ominously states that we're in "the master's house"; we clearly say that we're leaving immediately, no action is necessary, and let the goblin know that he can tell the master that we were never here. The goblin becomes infuriated that we'd even suggest lying to the master and reaches for something while Prohpet casts Suggestion. "You think that works on us?! Hahaha!" and pulls out a whistle that makes a death-rattling sound.

Combat!

After a very harrowing battle against insanely fast fey Quicklings that hit like a truck with their knives, and a few close calls with death, the Librarians pause to consider their next course of action.
