Ghost lady? Gross lady!
The group decides to leave Fort Venture to try and heal Bol'bara at the nearby sacred site. Things don't go according to plan, and Kra'naelen and Trush get into a fight. Ever victorious, though, we had back to Urzin.
Session 5
The group prepares to leave to leave Fort Venture with Bol'bara in tow. Kra'naelen keeps the Elven chain and benefits from its effects. We make our way to the place with the mysterious lights and Bol'bara wakes up. She’s restrained, but very much awake and her mumblings remind the rest of us to share a warning to Prophet about what Pellinost had been writing about him.
We take a moment to share our stories of where we possibly will be going once we get our information from Bol'bara. Prophet recognizes a signet ring that Mint is wearing, that she received along with a letter sending her to Rosohna. It mentions that she might have a place among Den Mirimm? Maybe even family? And was sent gold!
We make it to the circle of stones eventually. It appears as though it's a little island with a structure in the center. But also... a giant Venus fly trap thing, that ends up having multiple tongues and a giant snake-slug thing “Look out there’s a gross slimy sea slug thingy!”
“I’m taking psychic damage!” – Mint
Prophet kills the snail with vicious mockery of fart noises.
Prophet and Mint share a conversation about her having seen some sort of spirit, or perhaps ancestral vision during combat. Kra'naelen thinks the stone circle could be used by modern spellcasters as a focus on rituals etc… and connects well with Bol'bara using it to communicate with her patron. Mint finds a missing stone fragment that was obviously from one of the pitons. Kra'naelen investigates it after spending a short rest next to it. We realize that he could use it in the same way, to communicate with someone. (Above the table: it's a one-time Commune spell)
Kra'naelen asks Trush to return Bol'bara. He strikes her down with lightning, and says, "So we want to talk, eh?", and combat begins.
Extinguish him with flames, and we walk east to Urzin even through the darkness. As our group arrives, we immediately rest and will turn in our quest next time.
