The Librarians find themselves attacking the protections of Lorna's hut in order to gain entry, including the house itself!
Session 41
Briya dispells one of the colorful magical orbs. It works, but the darkling immediately reappears. Yahnist's heavy crossbow surprise shot hits true; the darkling spreads some of his spilled blood on the ground and tells the house to attack us. The crossbow glows to warn of undead, as we watch the bones animate and dark birds arrive.
Combat begins!
During a wild magic surge, Kra'naelen is temporarily self-banished to the Astral Plane. While there, he sees 5 pulsing lines of red light, all of which seem to be emanating from one central point: a point approximately 80 to 90 feet in front of him, which would be equivalent to inside Lorna's house in the Material Plane.
Eventually the Librarians are victorious and combat ends. Briya and Prophet share the dispel magic duties on the remaining orbs. (Briya x 1 and Prophet x 2). While sensing around for more magic, Prophet also realizes that the ash pyre where the giant ash phoenix must have spawned from is in Lorna's house as well.
The group is able to see that the remaining magical protections feel powered down and deactivated, and so they group up and hesitantly move toward the entrance.
